Why is my rhodesian ridgeless?

I’m so glad I my girlies when we lived in some somewhat crappy rental properties hahaha there was absolutely ZERO chance either of my dogs would’ve kept a diaper on when they bled, so we just cleaned up behind them as they went. To be fair, neither ever bled THAAAAT that bad, so it wasn’t terrible, but we definitely had to clean up the walls and wash some throwaway sheets plenty haha 😅😅

Damn this is deep but so true. I lost my male Ridgeback, Moe over the winter and have a female beagle. She was so lonely along with me and my wife. We visited our breeder with a new litter to allow our girl blue to visit with some Ridgebacks and just dogs in general. However one just pulled on our heart strings and we ended up getting him. Gus is his name. Boy I forgot how much work it was to train them lol. You forget after they get good for so many years. They are such good dogs. I've never owned a female RR just males. Meanwhile having female beagles. The two breeds get along great. They are family. You made a great video man.

My 6th month male gets so upset when i go out he howls like a husky, he hates is dad going out of sight, you forgot to mention the raptor faze, very correct about following you anywhere, the little demon would follow me to hell and back with no hesitation, cant agree more about being great with children had a ridgeback puppy when i was born grew up with him

How.the hell did RR get along 200 years ago when natives left them outside to guard the home and then released them for hunting. RR must have changed alot over time. Mine is on me like flies on you know what.

I read a book recently that suggested it was the females that were taken lion hunting, rather than the males. Much like a lion pride - the women do all the work! I have had my first boy for a year now after owning to females over the last 20years. It kind of fits with the difference in temperament. My current boy is a lazy bastard and loves to sleep more than anything.

Our Nala puppy plays so rough but it makes me so proud to see her hold her on with bigger, stronger dogs. 🐶

Rhodies are the best. Just great dogs and truly best friends. My boy was so smart and even tempered, but intuitive regarding potential threats to family. I miss him every day.

Hello fellow Chicagoan 👋 Can you give me a realistic idea of how much time a day you exercise your dogs? I love ridgebacks but honestly don't know if I am equipped for this dogs. Like many people on planet earth I have 9-5 job. I did own a dog before, a lab and sadly I think I miserably failed my dog as a first time owner. I mean it was probably 15 years ago, so I most definitely can say, I was just a irresponsible kid and this time around I want to do it right.

Welcome back, I enjoyed your videos and descriptions about life with RR's. Have got one too, a male, 2 years old. Has been a busy time and we hope he will get more quiet the older he get. But he is a real nice guy and we love him. Hope to see more from your pack 😊

Two super-schnoots, love it. Haven't looked in in a couple of years - your kids are big. Our sweet Rhodie sisters aged out, both at 12. Last one gone almost a year, still missing them all day, every day. :(
